We have transformed the classic homemade-style tamagoyaki—usually made with sugar and soy sauce—into a premium version using coarse sugar from Tanegashima, Kagoshima and Asuke-brewed Mikawa Shiro Tamari.
Simply add 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of this seasoning per 2 eggs and cook to make a perfectly flavorful tamagoyaki. This mix, based on coarse sugar and shiro tamari without any added dashi, produces eggs that are delicious not only when freshly cooked but also when cooled, making it ideal for bento boxes. The taste is sweet, nostalgic, and comforting.
For those who prefer unsweetened dashimaki-style tamagoyaki, we recommend using Mikawa Shiro Dashi instead.
