How to Cook White Rice & 70%/50% Polished Rice
※Cooking with normal rice cooker meant for cooking Jasmine rice may not work well with Japanese rice cooker.
①. Rice Measurement
Measure the rice to the brim and transfer to a bowl.
Please use a 180cc/150g cup.
“Rice Measuring Cup “Extreme” -1 Go Cup” is ideal.
②. Wash
Wash the rice gently.
Change water 3-4 times. Please be gentle so as not to break the rice.
Stirring each time for not more than 40 seconds.
③. Soaking the rice
Measure the correct amount of water.
Most Japanese rice can be cooked with a ratio of 1 part rice to 1 part water.
For a better taste, please use distilled water or filtered water.
Soak the rice for about 30 minutes to ensure that the rice absorb the water.
④. Cooking water
Measure the correct amount of water.
* Amount of water per cup of rice
White Rice 1.1
70% 1.2
50% 1.3
(This is just a guideline, so please adjust the amount of water depending on the condition and properties of the rice and your preferences.)
** If you don’t soak, increase the amount of water a little.
Put rice and water in the rice cooker and start cooking rice.

⑤. Cleaning
After cooking, please wash and clean up every gear touch with rice such as Bowl, Colander, Rice cooker.
Dirty gear makes bad smell and taste of Rice.
If you add a pinch of salt, it seems that you can cook relatively softly.
Also, do not keep brown rice, 50%, and 70% rice warm with a rice cooker after cooking.
The color will change and the taste will surely drop.
Wrap excess rice in plastic wrap and store it frozen.
If you eat during the day, you can store it in the refrigerator.
