Made from organically grown sweet potatoes from Kagoshima, it is produced by the traditional and labor-intensive “fermented in Kamet-subp (a traditional stone pot)”

Even after gaining popularity as a high-class shochu, they have stated that they will not increase the production volume from 50 pots(about 150,000 1800 ml bottles a year), as they were when the company was founded in 1868.
Therefore, it is widely known as “Phantom Shochu” which is very difficult to obtain.

Not strong, but great Umami flavor in your mouth.
It’s rare gold label with box version, so best for special occasion or present to Imo shochu lover.
